Emily Markowitz
Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more that 20 years experience as a psychotherapist in private practice. She has specialized in relationship issues and couples therapy and is now wholeheartedly bringing Compassionate Inquiry into her practice with both individual clients and couples. Her aim is to help clients be in touch with their present selves while feeling into emotions arising from past traumas to return to wholeness and authenticity.
Emily has a life long study and practice connecting with essence through internal arts including; Tai Chi, Orgonomy, Buddhism, Gurdjieff work, Compassionate Inquiry and more recently being a student of the Ridwan School in the Diamond Approach. Having a strong foundation in the above disciplines informs and renews her work with clients.
Emily works virtually from Mid-Coast Maine, US where she lives with her husband, 2 grown sons (when they are in town) and her two Old English Sheepdogs, Ringo and Lucy. She is a practicing abstract painter who shows locally.
